TMBC Partners Forum

Shaping a new approach to protecting our region

Join us at this special Partners Forum to celebrate the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between TMBC and Biosecurity New Zealand which will see us identifying, training and providing local support and expertise to assist in readiness and response activities. This MoU will support TMBC in formally participating in biosecurity responses in the region and assisting Biosecurity New Zealand in protecting our region from any unwanted pests and diseases.

John Walsh, Director of Readiness and Response for Biosecurity New Zealand will join us to talk about his experiences leading the All of Government COVID-19 communications response and the key learnings for biosecurity. He’ll touch on his priorities in the Readiness & Response role and some of the opportunities for biosecurity post-COVID – including the recent budget outcomes for Pest Management.

We’ll also be joined by Nigel Tutt, CE of Priority One who will share insights from our regional economic development organisation into the impact of Covid-19 as we shift our focus towards economic recovery and some of the initiatives Priority One is involved in to support businesses.

Date: Tuesday 14 July
Time: 3.00pm – 5.00pm
Venue: Tauranga Yacht Club
Nibbles and drinks will be provided.

This is an informal event which aims to strengthen our relationships and connectedness across the network, encourage and inspire each other and to highlight the impact our members are having on biosecurity. If you haven’t registered already, please email diane@tmbiosecurity.co.nz.

We look forward to seeing you there.
